Chapter one

(Rose pov)

"Hey wake up you're going to be late for school,rose you know today you're going to get registered at your new school you don't want to be late, now get up before i drag you out of that bed "my mom said while trying her best to wake me up.

"mom just a minute ,like you said am gonna get registered at my new school, not going there to learn or anything so I need to sleep its not like am going to get punished"I told her but she immediately drag me out of the bed to the bathroom and locked the door.

"when you're done come down stairs for your breakfast"she said to me. "okay mom"I replied.

Okay my name is rose,and that was my mother she can be like that at times but she's the kind of person that anybody will want as their mother,well i'm about go to a new school my dad got a new job because he was fired from his old job for an unknown reason or maybe he doesn't want to tell us,so that's how I end up in new York,i miss my friends and my school but I had no choice, i really need to study so that i can make my parents proud.

"Rose what are you still doing inside your room breakfast is ready"my mom called out.

"I'll be down in a sec mom" i replied not wanting her to come to my room to scold me again,well i guess it's time to go get registered,gosh am so nervous,"rose you are going to a new school and you're going to also make new friends tell me why will you not be nervous.

I talked to myself as i wore my short with a matching shirt and my snickers,then i hurried downstairs before my mom calls me out again.

"good morning dad"i said to my dad who is reading a newspaper on the couch well that's my dad always reading a newspaper every morning and on the couch.

"morning dear how was your night?."my dad said with his eyes still on the newspaper.

"my night was good dad,how was yours?"I asked expecting a nod but was shocked when he replied.

"it was good dear"my dad replied looking at me with love, oh my God my dad only nods his head every time i greet him oh i love this side of my dad looking at me with so much love.

"breakfast is served,its time to eat or you'll go late to school on your first day of getting registered"my mom said slowly for the second time today .

"okay mom"i replied getting tired of this school thing,I just feel that my mom is taking it a little serious.After eating I took my school bag and other things needed for the registration.

"you ready rose?"my mom asked after getting ready

"yeah mom all done"I replied after getting my phone from the couch gosh i cant believe am going be a high school student now at whitney high school.

When we arrived at the school,i was shocked because this school is so big and even bigger than my previous school and the students oh my God the girls are cute and the boys are very handsome am proud of that I just hope that i will be able to fit in this school i thought feeling nervous not knowing that my mom was looking at me worriedly.

"hey dear are you alright?"my mom asked and i can see her put on a worry face

"mom don't worry am alright I'm just a little nervous about this my new school,don't worry mom I'll be alright"I said and my mother smiled.

"okay dear if you say so,come on let's look for the principal's office"she while said looking around the school.

"okay mom lets go".i said feeling a little happy about this school and am sure am going to enjoy my self here in whitney high school,well that's the name whitney high school a place where a lot of students attend the rich,the bullies,the popular kids,the queen and king of the school,the nerds,the gangster and the one getting bullied,i wonder which categories am gonna fit in.It was hard finding the principal's office but we were able to find our way.

"Good morning mam am here to register my daughter rose willow she just graduated from middle school"my mother said to the lady sitting behind the desk.

"good morning to you too mam and by the way my name is Linda so you can call me principal Linda and nice to meet you rose,how are you doing,i hope you are excited about your new school?

"Am fine,nice to meet you too principal linda and I'm excited about my new school and also looking forward to be a student of whitney high school ".I said to the principal.After the introduction we proceeded to registration and everything i was asked to resume school next week monday woohoo am so happy.

We went for shopping after the registration after shopping for like five hours I told my mom that i want to check out other interesting place here in new York she took the stuffs we bought and told me to come home early for dinner.

"mom i want to go check out other place in new York you know since we got here I haven't been able to look around" i said to mother.

"okay darling but be sure to come back home before dinner"my mom said while taking the stuffs we bought from my me.

"thanks mom I'll be back before you know it love you".I said and peck her softly on her cheek.

"love you too baby"my mom replied.I ran off to the park and saw an ice cream shop then i decided to stop by to get an ice cream,while buying the ice cream I saw a very beautiful girl with blonde hair she was carrying a lot of shopping bag and I can tell that they are too heavy for her,well I was right because some things started falling out of the bag,i can't just sit there and watch,i quickly hurried to where the girl was and helped her pick the things that fell out from the bag to the ground and help her carry it to her car.

"Thanks for your help,i really don't know what i would have done if you didn't come to rescue me oh by the way what's your name?"the girl who was around my age asked.

"umm my name is rose and you're welcome I just moved to new York so am quite not familiar with this place well i have to go see ya"I told her .

"okay but can I get your number?"she asked me,i was not sure if i should give her my number because am just meeting her for the first time,.

"yeah sure why not".after giving her my number i quickly hurried home.when i got home i met my mother in the kitchen,I helped her with some of the cooking and decided to tell her about the girl I met earlier at the park."mom while I was at the park i met a girl carrying a lot of stuffs and I decided to help her and she was about my age".

"really then I guess you've found a friend in now York even before you start school am so happy for you,um what's her name".

"i don't know mom i just help her but she took my number maybe when she call me i will ask her for sure".After dinner i head off to my room and started arranging my things, (Rose pov)
